About this workshop: Compassion is often misunderstood as being soft and an indulgence, even selfish. In this Compassion Focused Therapy and Families workshop, James will be covering a range of key areas: 1) reviewing what compassion is, 2) what is compassion focused therapy, 3) how CFT can help in a family context linking to current research, and 4) provide compassion focused strategies that practitioners can implement with families to help create nurturing environments. He will discuss how compassion can help with how we respond to others in our family and how building our own compassionate-self can help with our own self-care.
