DESCRIPTION:Title: OCD and the Third Wave: Do we wave goodbye to the first two? \nPresenter: Dr Rocco Crino\, University of Western Sydney \nAbout this seminar: Third wave CBT\, in particular ACT and mindfulness\, are increasingly being utilised in the treatment of a variety of psychological conditions\, including anxiety disorders. This seminar will review the current CBT treatment methods for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder\, as well as discuss the application of “third wave” treatments. Clinical cases will be presented to illustrate that you can wave as much as you like\, it’s still the exposure that counts! \nAbout the presenter: Dr Rocco Crino is Senior Lecturer in Clinical Psychology and Clinic Director at the University of Western Sydney. He has extensive experience in the research and treatment of anxiety disorders\, particularly Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and related conditions. He continues to work clinically as well as teach\, conduct research and supervise students and other clinical practitioners. \n
